The Pledge
We invite everyone to join the Tree Pledge! By planting trees in communities that lack shade equity, we can also significantly reduce the negative impacts of Climate Change. We need everyone’s help to plant new trees and save existing trees. The only way this works is if everyone, from school children to multinational corporations commit whatever resources they have available to accelerate and scale the number of trees planted in our local communities.

Help educate your friends, family and peers
Collect tree data and images from your neighborhood to help save existing trees

Empower individuals and communities across the United States to take local action to plant and protect hundreds of millions of trees by 2022.

The Plan
We work with a variety of nonprofit partners who provide funding support, tree expertise and other important information and activities that enable everyone to get involved in whatever way they can. We help people understand the importance of planting native, drought-tolerant species and species that support native wildlife. What makes this program different from other pledges is our commitment to build an ecosystem of stakeholders who participate in a variety of meaningful ways (not only financially), with educational content for the community, including school-based programs. We are building a partnership ecosystem that includes county parks and recreation departments, tech startups, schools, global corporations, policy makers and nonprofits.

Get Involved
We are creating a movement to plant and protect trees, starting in our local communities. We need your help to plant new trees and save existing trees. The only way this works is if everyone, from school children to multinational corporations commit whatever resources they have available to accelerate and scale the number of trees planted in our communities. Each person has a gift to contribute, whether it is organizing a tree planting day of service in your church, school, neighborhood, local park, or as an employee volunteer activity. Trees help all of us and they need our help!
